About
My name is Waldek Mastykarz and I am a software developer living in Alphen aan den Rijn in the Netherlands. I'm involved in web and software development since 11 years.
Experience
I have been working on web based solutions for quite some time now (I still remember using HTML 3.2 and making frames based sites). A few years ago I started using dynamic web technologies like PHP. As my programming skills evolved I started using OOP and focused more on software development. In September 2006, when I came in touch with Imtech ICT, I started working with the .NET environment and worked on my first SharePoint projects. During the last period of time I have focused on Web Content Management solutions based on SharePoint 2007 and recently also on SharePoint 2010.
Work
I work as SharePoint Consultant at Mavention where I'm responsible for designing and delivering SharePoint solutions. I'm specialized in SharePoint Web Content Management solutions, web standards and accessibility.
Who is Mavention? The name Mavention is derived from the word maven, "a trusted expert in a particular field, who seeks to pass knowledge on to others." We are an independent company with an entrepreneurial spirit. Mavention aims for real results for our clients. We do this with passion for both our customers and profession. As one of the few organizations in the Netherlands we have the Microsoft SharePoint Master certification and we have a SharePoint Most Valuable Professional. We regularly organize SharePoint events for our customers and we are represented in the SharePoint Black Belts group in which the best Dutch SharePoint consultants participate.
Mavention implements the new way of work: the new way of sharing information, knowledge and experience. It increases the quality of information and reduces operational costs. Mavention helps businesses to use the new way of work by translating their needs into practical solutions. This results in realistic and manageable projects. Our approach is strikingly distinctive: Mavention makes SharePoint work for you.
This blog
During the last years, while working with SharePoint 2007, numerous blogs provided me with the knowledge required to work on SharePoint 2007 projects. During that time I have noticed how important experience sharing is and how it affects the knowledgebase on a certain matter. After 8 months of working with SharePoint I have decided that it was time to give something back to the community. I have decided to start a blog where I would share my experience on SharePoint and related technologies.
This site is my personal blog and presents my personal opinions not necessarily shared by my employer.
