Last week I had the honor of presenting at BIWUG about what is new in SharePoint 2013 for public-facing websites. Here is the deck from my presentation.

My main grip with SharePoint is that it doesn't serve RSS feeds to mobile devices. Do the new "device channels" help address this issue?

No, unfortunately Device Channels don't provide anything in this space.

Unfortunately it's deck only. I don't know where you are located but I will be presenting on the same topic on SharePoint Connections in Amsterdam in November right after the SharePoint Conference in Las Vegas.
