Office Development MVP 2017

I have been re-awarded as Microsoft Office Development MVP for 2017.

I have just received a message from Microsoft that for my contributions in the technical communities I have been awarded the Microsoft MVP Award for 2017. It’s the ninth time for me to be awarded the MVP title and I would hereby like to thank Microsoft, my old colleagues from Mavention and new colleagues at Rencore, my fellow SharePoint PnP team members and the SharePoint community for continuously inspiring and challenging me.

Continuing my work in the Office 365 and web development space from the previous years I switched back to focusing on SharePoint shortly after joining Rencore. Early in 2016 I had the opportunity to take part in a SharePoint Dev Kitchen where I learned what the SharePoint Framework is and how developers can use it to build SharePoint solutions. It was exciting to see how the new framework builds on the recent trends in the web development allowing a broader group of developers to build SharePoint solutions.

Since I first worked with the SharePoint Framework I’ve been sharing my findings through my blog and the different presentations I delivered over the last few months. With the planned release of the SharePoint Framework to general availability scheduled for 2017, developers will be able to start using the new framework in production. I am looking forward to learn more about what works, what doesn’t and what we can do help developers make better use of the SharePoint Framework to build SharePoint solutions - both at Rencore, where we provide developers with solutions for ensuring SharePoint customizations quality as well as through the efforts of the SharePoint PnP team and the whole SharePoint community.

Have a great 2017!
