Presenting at Unity Connect 2016

Learn how to build powerful productivity solutions with the Microsoft Graph in my session at the upcoming Unity Connect 2016.

One API to rule them all

Office 365 - the Microsoft productivity cloud, evolves continuously, offering more and more capabilities every day. These capabilities help you be more productive by themselves already, but the real power lies in building solutions that combine the different features and insights together.

In the past building solutions that spanned multiple services in the Microsoft cloud was challenging to say the least. Different services were built by different teams each in its own way. Interacting with these services required you to know how each one of them worked and how you could map the data retrieved from the different services onto each other.

To simplify using information and insights stored in the Microsoft cloud, Microsoft released the Microsoft Graph - a uniform REST API secured with Azure Active Directory. For the first time developers can not only easily retrieve the data from the different services, but also traverse the information network without having to worry about authentication or data integrity.

Building Productivity Solutions with Microsoft Graph

Using Microsoft Graph you can access data and insights from the Microsoft cloud. In this session, you will learn how you can leverage Microsoft Graph to build productivity solutions for your organization. We will talk about the authentication flow, the different endpoints and tips and tricks when working with this powerful API.

At the upcoming Unity Connect 2016 I will have the pleasure of presenting a session about using the Microsoft Graph for building powerful productivity solutions. In my presentation you will learn how to authenticate with the Microsoft Graph, which kinds of solutions you could build and what the different considerations are that you should take into account.

Microsoft Graph - now also on-premises

At the recent Ignite conference Microsoft announced support for hybrid deployments inside the Microsoft Graph. Although initially it applies only to Exchange, it proves that the Microsoft Graph is relevant to you even if your organization is not yet fully in the cloud.
