My last week at Mavention

After nearly six years, this is my last week at Mavention.

Mavention

I remember when I joined Mavention in April 2010. SharePoint 2010 was about to be released and we were working on one of the first public-facing websites using SharePoint 2010 in the world…

Fast-forward six years here I am building solutions on the Office platform using the latest Office developer opportunities: both for Office clients and Office 365. I’ve been working on OS X for about a year now and learning about developing for the web on any platform. A lot has changed.

In the last six years I’ve seen Mavention grow from a company of 8 to the company of 25 Mavention is today. We went together from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2016 and from BPOS to Office 365 working on some cool projects along the way! Last year I even had the opportunity to learn Sitecore. In the past six years we have been continuously seeking the edges of Microsoft’s productivity platform and looking for ways to help our customers get more out of the tools that they are using.

Yet here I am choosing for another adventure.

Rencore

Starting March 1 I am joining Rencore as a Senior Developer. Rencore is the company behind SPCAF - the quality assessment tool for SharePoint and Office 365 customizations.

In my new job I will be focusing on the new developer opportunities on the Office platform and how we can help both developers and customers to get more out of their productivity investments.

You might have recently heard that Rencore is also planning to release tools that will help customers transition their on-premises investments to the cloud. And that’s only the tip of the iceberg of ideas that Rencore has for the nearest future and I’m thrilled that I will be a part of it.

Farewell, but not goodbye

I am very thankful for the opportunities I had at Mavention. I have learned a lot and made new friends. And while I am choosing a different path, I am confident that we will keep seeing each other regularly.

For everyone at Mavention I wish you that your plans and dreams for this year and the years to come will come true. I am confident that with the team, that you currently have, you will make it happen.

Thank you for everything and see you soon.
