Mavention Batch Sandboxed Solutions Activator now with support for claims (and SharePoint Online)

In my previous article I showed you how you can easily activate multiple Sandboxed Solutions at a time using Mavention Batch Sandboxed Solutions Activator. As promised, Mavention Batch Sandboxed Solutions Activator supports now Claims Based Authentication and with that SharePoint Online.

By default SharePoint 2010 does not allow you to activate multiple Sandboxed Solutions at a time. To improve the experience I’ve recently shared with you Mavention Batch Sandboxed Solutions Activator: a tool that I’ve made that allows you to easily activate multiple Sandboxed Solutions at a time. And although in its first release the tool supported remote sites, it was limited to sites using Classic Mode Authentication only, which, given the popularity of Office 365, is quite bad.

Mavention Batch Sandboxed Solutions Activator v1.1

In this second release Mavention Batch Sandboxed Solutions Activator supports sites that use Claims Based Authentication as well as sites that are hosted on SharePoint Online.

After you run this new version of Mavention Batch Sandboxed Solutions Activator, you will first be prompted to choose if you want to connect to a site that uses Claims Based or the Classic Mode Authentication.

After you choose the type of your site and provide its URL, you can either directly click the connect button (for Claims Based Authentication Sites only) or you can choose which credentials you want to use. If you chose for connecting to a Site that uses Claims Based Authentication, after you click the connect button a popup will be displayed where you can login with your account. Mavention Batch Sandboxed Solutions Activator will use the authentication information to connect to your site and allow you to activate your solutions.
