New Mavention website is live

Yesterday evening our new website went live. Proudly presenting Mavention 2.0!

After weeks of work yesterday evening our new website went live and can be viewed at Working on the site has been a great adventure. Not only we set the expectations bar really high for ourselves but it’s also been a side project which made it sometimes difficult to justify how much time you should spend on it and where to get that time from. Nevertheless, we managed to get it done and since yesterday our new website is on-line.

The site you can see now is just the very first release – a framework. In the upcoming weeks we’ll be publishing more content from the old site and adding new functionality that we have in our roadmap. Aside from that we would really appreciate your feedback: if there’s anything you would like to see differently, we would love to hear from you. We can’t promise we will immediately do it, but we will definitely consider it. Although the website is now live for just a few hours we’ve already got some great feedback from @johnbruin, @edwinvdg and @petervandenberg: thank you guys, we really appreciate it!

Oh, and if you are a curious tech person: don’t get fooled. This site really is built on SharePoint 2010! If you want to know all the details of how we did it – stay tuned. I will be writing a series of posts on some WCM challenges that we had and how we solved them.
