My first day at Mavention

Who is Mavention?

The name Mavention is derived from the word maven, “a trusted expert in a particular field, who seeks to pass knowledge on to others.” We are an independent company with an entrepreneurial spirit. Mavention aims for real results for our clients. We do this with passion for both our customers and profession. As one of the few organizations in the Netherlands we have the Microsoft SharePoint Master certification and we have a SharePoint Most Valuable Professional. We regularly organize SharePoint events for our customers and we are represented in the SharePoint Black Belts group in which the best Dutch SharePoint consultants participate.

Mavention implements the new way of work: the new way of sharing information, knowledge and experience. It increases the quality of information and reduces operational costs. Mavention helps businesses to use the new way of work by translating their needs into practical solutions. This results in realistic and manageable projects. …and what will I be doing there?

Basically I will be doing the same: I will still be engaged with SharePoint, advising our customers helping them with designing the best solutions for their challenges and developing SharePoint solutions. I will still be working on developer tools to make the process of developing SharePoint solutions easier and more efficient and I will keep on writing on this blog. No major changes.

Although I had a hard time leaving my colleagues at Imtech, I’m very excited about the new job at Mavention and all the new ideas that we have for the nearest future. Stay tuned for more updates and don’t forget to drop by once in a while.
