Office Servers and Services MVP 2016

I have been re-awarded as Microsoft Office Servers and Services MVP for 2016.

I have just received a message from Microsoft that for my contributions in the technical communities I have been awarded the Microsoft MVP Award for 2016. It’s the eight time for me to be awarded the MVP title and I would hereby like to thank Microsoft, my colleagues from Mavention and the Office and SharePoint community for continuously inspiring and challenging me.

With the recent changes to the MVP program my nomination area has been moved from SharePoint Server to Office Servers and Services last November. This time around it’s the first time that I have officially been re-awarded in this category.

As I predicted a year ago, many things have changed in the Office and SharePoint space. Throughout 2015 I have been focusing more on Office 365 and web development. And although I have been involved with a few SharePoint 2013 engagements I have spent most of my time working with the new developer opportunities in Office and Office 365.

It’s not the end of the changes in the Office and SharePoint space and I’m really looking forward to the new opportunities that they will bring to us in 2016. It’s going to be an awesome year.
