Optimizing web site performance

Recently Robert Nyman, has written a great article about optimizing web site performance using YSlow: an add-on for Firebug for Firefox. In his article Robert presents not only the add-on itself, but he also gives some tips on how to tune various settings to achieve better performance.

Although the article doesn’t target the Microsoft technology directly, it definitely gives an idea of what the common pitfalls are and how they can be avoided. I’m really curious to see how these tips improve the performance of Web Content Management Solutions build upon SharePoint 2007.
