#29 Tools don’t unlock potential

When you get an idea to write an article, how often do you think: I need a CMS/blogging platform, I need tools, CDN, SEO, scalability.

When you get an idea for an app, do you start thinking: I need a platform, a framework, I need to handle millions of users across the globe, using LTE connections, on palm pilots.

You know what the problem is? These are all excuses. No matter what tools you get, they won’t help you unlock your potential. They won’t make you a better writer, they won’t make your app better.

People unlock potential. Communication does. You don’t need a new platform, framework, internet system. You will spend all this time implementing it and nothing will change.

If you want a sustainable change, start with people, solve a problem they have. When you get going, you will easily understand what needs to be improved and how to do it. But by then, the change will be in progress.

What are you going to do next?
